Wright & Wright have acted for hair salons originally since the early 90’s but in the last 7 years we decided that the industry needed a clear focus and realised that salons require a dedicated service that was tailored for their needs. The rise and rise of the franchised salon, the development of academy training and the resources thrown into business development by the large product brands such as L’Oreal or Goldwell all point to a blooming industry. Deloitte’s recent survey indicated that hair and beauty was the most recession proof industry in the country.

Salon owners have become business managers and rightly demand more from their professional service suppliers. Associations like HSBA or the NHF have offered this support and now the trade press is also running business support programs like Salon Smart or HEAD for Business.

And now the interaction between hair salons and beauticians, and similarly between beauty salons and spas has meant that our Clients require more from us than keeping on top of movements in hairdressing. We have been asked to develop advice for hair, beauty and spa.

And so we chose to design a service unique in the UK. Your Salon Lawyer was born. This has been piloted since the Salon Smart event in 2008 before 350 salon owners and was launched on 2 January 2009.
